Mortgage Calculators

There are a number of generic calculators on this site that are designed to help you assess how much you can or should borrow, as well as to compare and choose between different mortgage products.

None of these calculators are linked to any database of mortgage products - if you wish to get a quote for actual mortgage products, please click here.

1. How much can I borrow?
Use this calculator to work out approximately how much you will be able to borrow according to different lending criteria.

2. How much can I afford?
Use this calculator to work out how much income you have left at the end of each month to spend on your mortgage repayments. You can be as comprehensive or as rough as you wish.

3. Repayment calculator
This calculator takes a loan amount and calculates the monthly repayments over a set term or the whole life of the mortgage. It also allows you to caculate the overall APR for the loan and the Internal Rate of Return for the assumed life of the mortgage.

4. Compare two mortgages
It is not usually easy to accurately compare mortgages that have different interest rates, introductory offers, application fees, cashback amounts and other such intricacies. However, if you have all of the details regarding two mortgage schemes, this calculator does all of the maths for you. Simply fill in all of the required fields below and this calculator will work out the internal rate of return of the two schemes, as well as the APR.
